Dr. Jonathan Glashow

Dr. Jonathan GlashowDr. Jonathan Glashow is an orthopedic surgeon and co-chief of sports medicine at New York's Mount Sinai Medical Center and has been in private practice for 18 years. He specializes exclusively in shoulder and knee injuries including advanced arthroscopic all-inside ACL reconstruction, double-row suture bridge rotator cuff repairs, as well as state of the art techniques to repair labral, meniscal, and condral injuries.

Widely respected for his precision and application of groundbreaking surgical techniques, Dr. Glashow's approach is based on a philosophy that each individual procedure is specific and customized to the individual needs of each patient. He uses minimally invasive arthroscopic techniques so that downtime and immobility are greatly reduced. Dr Glashow's focus is not only a patient.s full recovery but also the speed with which they are able to return to their chosen sport. To optimize this intent he coordinates post-operative care, which often involves interaction with physical therapists, coaches, and athletic trainers.

Often deferred to for is opinion and treatment of elite athletes, Dr. Glashow acted as a medical media consultant for ESPN Sports and was a frequent guest on their morning sport commentary "Cold Pizza". His guest appearances on news broadcasts include, CBS World News Tonight and most recently on CNN Evening News with John Roberts for his expertise on the usage of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections for expediting the healing process of certain injuries. He has been quoted in the New York Times, the New York Daily News, and the New York Post. For his superior patient care, Dr. Glashow has been awarded numerous distinctions. Castle Connolly, a major healthcare company has ranked him one of America's Best Doctors, New York Magazine has featured him on their annual "Best Doctors" issue, and he has been listed as one of New York Metro Area's Best Doctors every year since 2000.

Dr. Glashow received his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College. He completed his residency at Lenox Hill Hospital in Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Sean McCance

Dr. Sean McCanceDr. Sean McCance is Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and Spine Surgery, and serves as the Co-Director of Orthopaedic Spine Surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Manhattan. He specializes exclusively in spine surgery, and has frequently been honored with inclusion in listings of “America’s Top Physicians,” “Best Doctors,” and “New York Super Doctors.”

Dr. McCance has extensive experience in the management of both routine and complex disorders of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. He has particular interest and expertise in cervical and lumbar injuries in athletes, including herniated disk, spinal fractures, spondylolysis and spondylolisthesis, and has published articles on spinal injuries in athletes.

Dr. McCance has been in Private Practice in Manhattan for the past fourteen years, with privileges at Mount Sinai and Lenox Hill Hospital. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, a Fellow of the Scoliosis Research Society, and a member of the North American Spine Society. He is a graduate of Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons.



Dr. Jeffrey Morrison

Dr. Jeffrey MorrisonDr. Jeffrey Morrison is an award-winning medical doctor who champions a nutritional approach to healthcare, focusing on preventing and reversing degenerative and chronic diseases. Dr. Morrison.s specific treatments are aimed at enhancing the body's ability to heal and detoxify itself.

In 2001, Dr. Morrison was on the medical staff at the Atkins Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine in New York City, where he worked under the late Dr. Robert Atkins. He then went on to become the medical director of the Wellness Medical Center of Integrative Medicine in New York City. In 2002, Dr. Morrison opened The Morrison Center, where he has used his successful integrative medicine and nutritional approach for patients with arthritis, high blood pressure, hormone imbalance, obesity, diabetes, chronic fatigue, anxiety, depression, heavy metal poisoning, and many other ailments. His areas of expertise also include fibromyalgia, irritable bowel syndrome, hypertension, and mercury poisoning. He also has extensive experience with intravenous therapies including toxic metal chelation, food and hormone allergy testing using P/N (Provocation/Neutralization), prolotherapy, natural hormone replacement therapy and herbal remedies.

Dr. Morrison has an undergraduate degree from the University of Rochester and received his medical doctorate from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He is trained and Board Certified in Family Practice and has completed additional training in Environmental Medicine. Dr. Morrison is a member of the American Academy of Environmental Medicine (AAEM) as well as a lecturer and Board Member for the American College for the Advancement in Medicine (ACAM).

Dr. Morrison gives dozens of lectures each year within the medical community and to wider audiences. He spoke at the first JCC in Manhattan senior health conference, Secrets of Successful Aging. More recently he was one of the co-Chairpersons of a national conference and educational summit on environmental medicine this past spring. Hosted in San Diego from April 29 - May 3, 2009, The Detox Evolution Conference addressed current topics in environmental medicine as well as cutting-edge therapies, research and innovations within the integrative medicine industry.

Dr. Morrison has made many television appearances, written journal articles, chapters for textbooks, and has lectured throughout the country in the field of integrative and complementary medicine.

Dr. Robert Pastore

Dr. Robert PastoreDr. Robert Pastore's background education is in human nutrition and biochemistry. He holds a BS, MS and Ph.D. in Nutrition. Dr. Pastore's extensive educational background includes heavy emphasis on continuing education via the American College for Advancement in Medicine, the National Association of Nutritional Professionals and the American College of Nutrition. Other academic achievements include successfully passing the certified nutrition specialist exam at the Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York City, under the auspices of the Certification Board of Nutritional Specialists and being elected a member of the International Honor Society Delta Epsilon Tau Colorado Chapter.

Throughout his career Dr. Pastore has achieved extraordinary accomplishments such as becoming the youngest faculty member of the American College for Advancement in Medicine; created courses for Clayton College of Natural Health; was a member of the editorial board for the ACAM journal . 2004-2005; has consulted on cases from the Mayo Clinic; is the founder and chief scientific officer of Pastore Formulations; as well as the high honor of being published in the peer-reviewed Journal of Science and Healing.

His professional associations include the National Association of Nutritional Professionals, the American College of Nutrition, the New York Academy of Science, the American Chemical Society, the American Anthropological Association - division of evolutionary nutrition, and the American Nutraceutical Association. In over a decade of practicing as a clinical nutritionist Dr. Pastore has had the privilege to work with some of Nations top doctors. Dr. Pastore started his career as the Senior Nutritionist at Palm Beach Diabetes and Endocrine Specialists of Palm Beach Florida under medical director Dr. Gary Pepper. Dr. Pastore spent the majority of his career as the Director of Clinical Nutrition for the famed Hoffman Center in New York, under medical director Dr. Ronald Hoffman. Dr. Pastore was the Director of Clinical Nutrition for Fratellone Medical Associates. He is currently in private practice at 36 West 44th Street, Suite 1401, New York, New York, 10036. Dr. Pastore lectures for many CME programs, most recently for the Healthy Woman series at the Jacob Javitz Center on September 8th, 2007. Other CME courses taught by Dr. Pastore include neurobiology - neurotransmitter formation and function, advanced glycation endproducts, biochemistry of nutrition, insulin resistance, and the biology of cancer.

Dr. Pastore hosts the popular weekly radio show "Health and Nutrition Today" on Air America 1600am. Dr. Pastore has been featured multiple times in the popular press including Harpers Bazaar, Fitness, Cookie and Self Magazine. He wrote the forward for The Pump Energy Food Cook Book, by Steve and Elena Kapelonis. In addition to print Dr. Pastore has appeared on TV and Radio including NY 1, Lite FM and XM Satellite's "The Pulse".

Dr. David Tinjust

Dr. David TinjustDr. David Tinjust, a sports cognition expert with both a clinical and research background has developed a protocol based on binocular vision, multisensory integration, cognition, and motor skills, which holds the potential to revolutionize the field of athletic performance. He is a former expert for the French aerospace program and has conducted different research studies in sensory integration and motor performance. Throughout his 15 years of experience, Dr. Tinjust has been highly involved in research and development, with a concentration on creating prototypes for professional sports and rehabilitation.

Dr David TInjust, a neurological consultant for motor performance related to visual perception. Multisensory integration and motor performance for the NHL, professional boxing, UFC, Manchester-United "Soccer", and Olympic Athletes.

Dr Tinjust.s research experience consists of a multiple-object tracking evaluation in different populations, the study of the effects of visual distortions on pointing tasks in both young and older subjects, the study of neuro-retinal functions during hyeroxia, hypercapnia, and mild systemic hypoxia. His clinical study assesses the post-operative results of corrective surgery for strabismus.
